Police Looking For Possible Witness In Hit And Run

As Onondaga County Sheriff’s Detectives continue their investigation into last month’s deadly hit and run collision that claimed the life of Michael Mahoney on Electronics Parkway; they are now requesting the public’s assistance with the help in identifying an individual that was seen leaving a Syracuse bar with the man that was found responsible for driving the car that killed Mahoney.

Chiragkumar Patel of Southington, CT was charged with a class D felony of Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting (Death) on April 27.

As Detectives continue to investigate Patel’s whereabouts prior to the incident, they discovered him leaving the Blue Tusk Bar on April 26th at 10:52 pm

Detectives are looking to identify and speak with the male observed in the video leaving the bar with Patel. They are also looking to talk with anyone that may have had contact with Patel that night. They do not consider the male a target of the investigation but a possible witness and would like to identify him and speak with him.
