A guilty plea today from a Rome man after prosecutors say the injuries he caused to his daughter years ago led to her eventual death.
33 year old Joshua Castello is expected to get three to nine years behind bars when he's sentenced after he pleaded guilty today to manslaughter charges.
Castello had already served time on assault charges after violenty shaking his then two week old daughter 11 years ago.
Prosecutors say that shaking caused permanent injuries and the girl died two years ago at the age of of nine. Prosecutors claim the injuries she suffered as newborn directly led to her death years later because of the injuries she sustained.
The young girl weighed just 26 pounds at the time of her death because of the severity of the injuries she suffered as a newborn.
Castello will be sentenced in May.
