State Police are investigating an incident in Cayuga County where a shirtless man tried to enter the home of a Town of Fleming woman.
On Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 7:40 PM a man driving a small, black, four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla, attempted to gain entry into a residence on Route 34 in the Town of Fleming in the area of Skillet Road.
The man entered the enclosed front porch but did not knock. A female at the residence noticed him at the door and he indicated he was having car problems and needed to use her telephone. When she refused to allow him further into the residence he left.
Video surveillance shows that the man had driven by the residence two times before stopping. It does not appear that he was having any vehicle problems.
The man troopers are looking for is described as a white male, about five feet ten inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He was about 50 to 55 years old with short, salt and pepper hair, wearing a pair of plaid flannel pajamas without a shirt.
Anyone who has experienced a similar incident or has any information is asked to contact Sr. Inv. David Stebbins at 315-253-3103.
