Syracuse Looking For Christmas Tree

Syracuse Looking For Christmas Tree

The City of Syracuse has begun its search for the official Christmas Tree which will be the centerpiece of the annual Home for the Holidays Celebration and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 29, 2013. The tree will grace Clinton Square throughout the holiday season.

The tree needs to be a Norway Spruce that measures at least 55 feet tall, and in order to facilitate removal of the tree, it must be located on the property’s front yard, away from power lines and near a main access road.

If you have a tree that you would like to submit for consideration, please contact city-county arborist Steve Harris by October 25 at the City of Syracuse Department of Parks Recreation and Youth Programs, 315-473-4330.
